I found my foot!!!

I found my foot!! When we came home from school today...we decided to go on a walk. So the whole time we were walking, Miss Ava Claire was exercising too....she would grab her foot and pull it back and forth continuously. It was too sweet! I kept telling her to be sure and exercise the other foot too, but she didn't! So she has one toned thigh and one flabby thigh!! ha

She wore her new outfit Ma-Maw got her for Valentine's Day today....it was precious. She looks really pretty in white too! Check out how cute...

Can we say daddy's girl??!!!

Well, Ava Claire is officially a daddy's girl. Both yesterday and today she just couldn't take her eyes off daddy! No matter where he was.....she was looking for him. She was laying on my lap and when she heard daddy she flipped over (on my lap) and turned that head .....trying to find daddy. So I gave her to him and OMG the biggest smile she's had yet. She was grinning from ear to ear. So, I think it's safe to say that she is totally a daddy's girl!!!

Ava Claire's first trip to the park

Ava has been to the park many times in her stroller, but has never actually been on the swings....until today! She LOVED the swing and had a great time! This was a huge surprise to us because when she was small (ha) she would not swing in her house swing at all. She would only last about 15 seconds and then wanted out! So for her to like the swings at the park is a HUGE relief for us. She was just smiling and "talking" to us---and never took her eyes off daddy! It was precious.

Then one of our neighbors came and her son was swinging in front of Ava and she laughed out loud at him. It was her first loud, belly laugh! Matt and I both looked shocked when she did it. It was like "did that really just come from Ava??!!" She's been trying to laugh and will do small laughs at us when we do something to her....but this one was totally different! Such a sweet sound!!

Ava Claire's first visit to Barnes & Noble

We had such a fun weekend with Ava Claire. We did everything we wanted and she went along with us like a perfect little angel!! We went shopping, out to lunch, and planted flowers. She was great! She got a little mad at Barnes & Noble because we wouldn't get her an elephant that she "grabbed" off the shelf. Her little hands go wild and she grabs stuff like crazy now! She loves to shop already!!

Aunt Tina visited!!!

Miss Ava Claire got to meet her Aunt Tina this weekend!! Tina was in Talladega for the race and she came to Birmingham to visit us. Ava sat on her lap for the longest time and didn't make a peep. She was hanging out and having fun!! We were so happy that Tina came to visit and can't wait to see her again soon!!!

Play date with Hayes

Ava Claire and Hayes had their first play date today. They started their day off by going to the egg hunt, The Sweet Stop, and back home to play. Their playing just consisted of taking pictures....neither mommy could stop snapping. I think between Whitney and myself we took about 200 pictures! Only about 7 or 8 turned out good!

Ava's 1st Easter

Easter Photo Shoot

Ava had such a fun 1st Easter! On Saturday, she went to her first Easter Egg hunt here in our neighborhood. She didn't get to participate in the actual egg hunt because it was kind of cold, there were 8-year-olds wearing cleats, and her easter basket was only big enough for one egg....so all she did was get her picture taken with the Easter bunny. However, while mommy was getting her to smile, daddy forgot to take a picture on our camera.... so all we have is the printed out picture they gave us. But that's ok--no big deal! We got many other pictures of her in her dress.

Shot day- yuck!!!

Well, Ava Claire went for her 4 month old shots today and it was so sad!! It takes everything I've got to pull into the doctor's parking lot because I know what awaits my poor baby. She was just smiling and rolling around on that table----then it happened. The mean shot lady came in and stuck her chubby legs! Her little lip came out about a half of a mile and then the crying started. She stopped once we got to pick her up. By the time we were in the car, she was smiling and playing with Bun-Bun (her pink rabbit Ma-Maw sent her for Easter). We are now home and she is snoozing....hopefully she will for a while.

She weighs 17 pounds and is 24 1/2 inches long. She's in the 95th percentile for weight (we hope that slows down!) and 75th for heigth. She's growing up way too fast.


Her poor chubby legs have band-aids on them from her shots. She has her friends (Bun Bun and Duck Duck) to help her thru the day!!

Ava Claire-- 4 months old

Hey guys! Well, this will be the first message on Ava Claire's blog!!! I never in a million years thought I would be doing this....but I really want you guys to be able to see her grow! She is growing up too fast already. Tomorrow she will be 4 months old and it is so hard to believe....time flies when you're having fun! She has brought Matt and me more joy than we ever could have ever imagined. We are SO LUCKY to have such a beautiful, sweet baby!
